To select outdoor lighting that does not rely on IP standards

Since Luci first began handling LED Linear products eight years ago, we have gained extensive experience in outdoor lighting fixture installation. We recognized the challenges associated with products not originally designed in-house, as well as an overreliance on IP standards within the architectural market.

This prompted us to ask a critical question: “Are IP standards alone truly sufficient?”

To explore this, we considered refining existing standards by introducing detailed classifications and additional grades tailored for high-temperature environments. This inquiry served as the foundation for our development process.

With valuable insights from industry experts and partners, we created “Outdoor BASE for Lighting”, Luci’s original standard that seamlessly connects lighting fixtures with outdoor application requirements.

This “BASE” is continually evolving as we incorporate new insights from emerging trends. Our goal is to further develop it into a form that better aligns with real-world conditions.
